A: Final video production is a in house, all digital video production facility that specializes in wedding and event videography, editing video, authoring dvd, video to dvd transfer, and video slide show.
Q: Why is DVD better than VHS?
A: DVD's pack twice the resolution of VHS into a much smaller package. They are interactive, rugged and durable. They have extra tracks for different languages, subtitles, and multiple camera angles.
Q: Why should I transfer my videotapes to DVD?
A: When you transfer to DVD, your footage is easy to watch on your DVD player. And under proper storage conditions, DVDs last a lifetime. Videotapes begin to degrade immediately and lose quality over time. Your memories are difficult to enjoy when you have to fast-forward and rewind to find the parts you want to watch.
Q: How will my DVD look and function?
A: The first thing you'll notice would be the menu system.
The movie is broken up into a number of chapters, and you can jump to any of these chapters and begin watching the movie from any point, instantly, without fast forwarding or rewinding.
Q: How much does it cost?
A: Pricing varies depending on your specific requirements and length of tapes. Visit our pricing page to determine the cost of your video tape transfer.
Q: I want to transfer my videos to DVD, how do I start?
A: Easy, just print out this order form, and fill it out with your specification, and mail it along with your pictures, videotapes, music, and payment. Your videotapes, music, and pictures will be return to you with your new DVD. If you are in the vicinity, you can drop off your videotapes at our Los Angeles studio.
Q: Can we order additional DVD copies?
A: You can specify the number of additional DVD copies at the time of the order. We do not keep any of the video content with us after the order is completed.
Q: What form of payment do you accept?
A: Presently, we accept checks, money order and paypal. If you prefer to pay by paypal,or email us for instructions on doing so. It only takes five minutes to do.
Q: How can I get my tapes to you?
A: Simple, if you live close by, you can drop off the tapes at our studio.
However if you live in another state, you can mail the tapes to us by filling out this form.
Q: What formats do you transfer to DVD?
A: We transfer these formats: VHS, VHS-C, Super VHS, Digital 8. Hi 8, Mini DV, AVI, MOV, MPEG-4, MPEG-2, WM, Divx, MPG, and QuickTime.
Q: How long will it take to make a DVD?
A: It depends on how busy we are, but typically it will take about one to two days to complete the editing and authoring of your DVD. Since every DVD is custom, we need enough time to produce a quality product. However, if you are having a basic video transfer to DVD, that's within 24 hrs.
Q: Will the DVD play in my DVD player?
A: Yes, we only use DVD-R, and DVD+R which is compatible with the newer DVD player available today. You can also play it in your computer, car, or truck.
Q: Will there be any loss in quality in the DVD?
A: You should not have any loss if your home movie was in the digital format, mini DV, or digital 8, however, if the movie was in an analog format, there may be a slight loss, which is hardly noticeable, once it is digitizes and author to DVD.
Q: How much video can fit on a DVD?
A: Typically, it can fit two hours of home movie on a standard DVD-R 4.7 GB, with the menu, graphics, and titles.
Q: Do you combine multiple tapes on a DVD?
A: We copy each tape on a separate DVD. However, if you need to combine multiple tapes, it's $45.00 per hour.
Q: Will there be menu and chapter points on my DVD?
A: Yes, we place a navigational menu one each DVD, with title, chapter marker points, every five minutes interval, so that you can easily get to different parts of the DVD, when you want.
Q: How long will my DVD last?
A: Your DVD will more than likely out live you, meaning the life span of a DVD is over a 100 years. More durably than videotapes, which only last a couple of years.
Q: Do you return the Original Tapes?
A: Yes. We return the original tapes along with your new DVDs.
