How to burn a video to DVD
You first have to make sure your computer has a DVD burner, if not, you can purchase a DVD burner that can handle all the popular DVD formats, like DVD+R, DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD-RW. Most computers today comes with a DVD burner already installed.

Your video file must first be converted from DV format to MPEG-2, the original DV quality. You will need an authoring program to create the DVD, if you have a PC unfortunately it doesn't come with any DVD authoring software, you have to buy it separately.

ROXIO Popcorn 2, and Pinnacle DVD Maker Plus are very inexpensive, and will do a good job. But if you want to create a Hollywood style DVD with menu, titles, and chapter markers, the ones you rent at blockbuster, you would need a professional software that gives the flexibility to create beyond your imagination.

You can make your DVD look very professional, like the ones, brought from the store. My choice of software for making DVD's is Apple's DVD Studio Pro, which is a MAC base program; it allows me the flexibility to do what ever I choose to. If you are serious about making DVD's, I will recommend you getting the best Authoring software, which will allow you to produce quality DVDs.
